Today, I learned something amazing: my desk has a color, and it's red! Although I had my doubts, I now have irrefutable proof that there is an end to my supply of work, and that wood does not lose its stain when buried under paper and miscellaneous odds and ends.

But more importantly, I discovered my student status at a particular institution with some agreement with Adobe waives the cost (to me) for a non-trial version of the new Photoshop beta (wewt!), which is good because my last photoshop crapped out with my machine and I can't find my cd. At any rate, the new CS3 buzz coursing through my veins forced me to take the afternoon off from the mad crush of applications to complete, forms to fill out, reports to write and file, etc.
So far, I've done relatively little, but it means that I'll eventually be able to make some spiffy graphics again.

And the highest note of the day: my onigiri plushies finally got here today! (I thank *CorgiWings for prompting me to clear some space off of my desk; these things are patently adorable).

Now, it's back to work.
